Chick-fil-A’s breakfast menu can be a shining beacon of deliciousness in a sea of mediocre breakfast menus.

It’s no surprise that typically the most popular fast-food chain in 24 states serves up a robust breakfast. But as with all fast-food joint, not every that glitters is gold.

We’ve ranked all 12 items available to discover what’s best and what’s better left alone.

12. Chick-n-minis

The mini’s bread… glistens. I’m instantly suspicious of anything that isn’t deep fried yet still glistens just like an oil slick from the midday sun.

The “chick-n-mini” includes a normal Chick Fila menu in a “yeast roll” pocket that’s glazed by using a vague “honey spread”. There’s an odd flavor that we can’t quite place – it tastes of slightly sweetened sourdough, however with chicken thrown within the mix.

Around the whole, I’m uncertain I love these much. There’s more bread than nugget to every bite, and also the gestalt of your chick-n-mini doesn’t exactly throw off a breakfast vibe. These come in a three pack plus a four pack, but frankly, two minis in, I’m done.

11. Chicken, egg, and cheese bagel

A typical bagel would do that sandwich more justice. I understand the health-conscious collection of whole wheat grains, but at what cost? It’s decent enough to me to maintain taking bites, but I’m not crazy about this particular one.

10. Egg white grill

This sandwich avoids the usual greasy, bread-centric heaviness that is included with many breakfast items, despite tons of melty cheese.

I don’t mind the grilled chicken – it’s well seasoned, as well as the citrus marinade lends a brightness that helps cut from the cheese.

The egg white doesn’t add much. Sure, the theory is actually a low calorie, fat-free protein, but that shouldn’t come at the expense of taste. Halfway through, the flavors commence to retreat in the face of egg white blandness.

9. Fruit cup

It’s fruit. Who doesn’t like fruit? But ordering a quick-food fruit cup is actually a dangerous, dangerous game – one you likely won’t win.

Amazingly, this is certainly one gam-ble with favorable odds. Strawberries, apples – both red and green – mandarin oranges, and blueberries all come together, crisp and firm, within a surprising display of freshness.

The real reason for the lower ranking is just this: why are you ordering a fruit cup at Chick-fil-A? Sure, it will make a great side order, but… come on.

8. Chicken breakfast burrito

Any fast-food chain worth the weight in canola oil includes a breakfast burrito these days.

The chicken chunks are crispy along with a tad on the dry side – fine for tenders, however they feel incongruous within the soft and rich combination of eggs, cheese, and deliciously roasted veggies.

There isn’t any one dominant flavor, however, which makes this a weaker option – this is why the spicy jalapeño salsa is needed. It’s ideal for the chicken burrito, adding a little kick and sharpness to every single bite.

7. Buttered biscuit

Ah, the American biscuit: buttery, soft, with slightest hint of salt – this item is innocent, pure, and represents all of that is useful nowadays.

However, it’s unlikely to satisfy you or represent any real breakfast nourishment – I’m unsure exactly how the pioneers did it. This biscuit is most beneficial for an add-on. I suggest slapping some grape jelly on the website. Maybe raspberry, if you’re feeling adventurous.

6. Greek yogurt parfait

I won’t mince words: this is good.

The fruit looks and tastes fresh, not canned. There’s a choice of granola or cookie mix-in; the cashier recommended granola. I have to agree, as cookie crumbles would’ve been way too sweet.

The yogurt is delicious; I’m inclined to believe that it really is Greek yogurt. It’s light, sweet, and contains the signature tang that differentiates it from your gelatinous, over sweetened colloid passed off as yogurt at many fast-food joints. I’d rank this higher if it weren’t this type of cop-out.

5. Hash browns

If yogurt is just too healthy for your tastes, I have got your solution: hash browns.

How would you not love these savory, greasy, bottle cap sized discs of deliciousness? They cool off fast, but retain their taste even at lukewarm temperatures. I only wish they were crispier.

4. Sausage breakfast burrito

The sausage burrito far outshines its chicken counterpart. The sausage is mild; the eggs taste rich and look real. The roasted onions and peppers are really satisfying and flavorful.

The Monterey jack and cheddar cheese are subtle although not absent – they recede into the background to offer savory richness and complexity. The flour tortilla can there be only as being a vehicle, not really a flavor, as it should be.

The accompanying jalapeno salsa carries a slight bite, but nothing overwhelming; it melds nicely with flavors of burrito, does not overtake or outshine.

3. Chicken biscuit

This is one of the simplest breakfast menu items ever. Chicken, meet biscuit.

The biscuit is cushy and salty, a delightful embrace to the classic buttermilk marinated chicken. Put in a dollop of jelly and it’s a wonderful thing. Sweet, savory, and salty, in one golden handheld nugget.

Merely a smidge about the dry side perhaps, but not away from realm of reason.

2. Bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit

There’s something exquisite regarding a light biscuit enveloping egg, melty orange cheese, and some sort of breakfast meat.

Nevertheless, similar to nearly any bacon-based breakfast sandwich, I long for more bacon. The biscuit, although buttery and delicious, overwhelms the rich flavors in the egg dexapky62 cheese, and what bacon can there be gets lost from the mix. Why has three small strips get to be the industry standard? Throw us a bone here – or at best a fourth strip.

Still, all gripes considered, this can be a wildly delicious sandwich.

1. Sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit

I may call it anything divine, for nothing natural I ever saw so noble.

The biscuit, a sublime cloud of butter and bread; cheese, richly reclining atop a bed of airy egg; a properly-seasoned, almost spicy sausage patty which is fatty and thick. This sandwich represents the of biscuit breakfast sandwiches – a harmonious balance for each ingredient coming together to create something truly memorable.

Inside my previous comparison of fast-food biscuit breakfast sandwiches, this sandwich came tremendously in close proximity to winning – only this sandwich’s insufficient a genuine fried egg tipped the title in Wendy’s favor.
